Ive just had a new clutch fitted to my Mk1. The mechanic who I have used for many years, found a tiny hole at the end of the clutch actuator arm. He does not know whether this is a design feature or wear and tear can anyone advise

sorry dave dont know the answer to that one mate, have you tried other sites for info..this site is not that techy i dont think...i am in my mazda main dealer garage tomm i will ask for you..

ive just read mi haynes manual but cant find any pics of that part Crying or Very sad

You could try one of the specialists Paul Sheard (link on this website) or MX5City in Conisborough. I think they are both pretty friendly guys and wiiling to advise. Smile

is this the part you refer to dave, the release lever/folk,if so there is a tiny hole in the end thats visible in the haynes manual  at a guess about 2/3mm. not visible in this pic though.
