Trackday at curborough.Hi
I'm trying to organize a PP trackday at curborough. It seems the best compomise for novice...

The track a Curborough is @£450 for the day and you are limited to around 10 cars. Curborough is a great day but not at this time of year as there in nowhere to shelter if it rains.
We could do sessions of 8 to 10 cars Anu takers?
Cheers
Bill

I understood 450 is to hire the facilities (track marshall)
I think we could do with 10 to 24 drivers...

Track DayHi Bill
Depending on the date, I would come along to help make up the numbers, but Im not sure I would want to take my own car around the track, maybe we could all borrow yours!!!!

Right as a few people seem interested, I'll go back the track owner and the Lady from Sheffield who's used to race there.

I understood Paul (Burton'friend) may help us to organize this.
I also checked trackday with Javelin and they organize Elvington at the end on March (£119) .

Hi Guys,
I've received this from Nath. It seems OK to me (Lotus Club would charge the same) if 10 cars as hiring the track for a day is about £500.

To cut a long story short might i suggest organising a joint venture between yourselves and SY5s in the form of a joint novice trackday at the Curborough Sprint track.
im speaking to a bloke regarding my other track day but if you know any way of pushing this forward from your end i think this will be an excellent joint day and knock the silly comments that are beginning to surface on both forums...
Finally just to clarify - Curborough has a maximum of 10 cars fo the day which is around £50 per car - however this is based on a weekday booking so weekends are more. Personally i have a large 12 man dome tent which can be used for shelter (i dont mind getting down early to set this up ) and in previous visits there are no marshals - members sign a waiver and of we go!!!
Anyway - an olive branch of friendship for the future mate, official club to unofficial!
hope to speak soon.

Hi, I wondered if you had got anywhere with this?
I know NathMill, and it was probably me he was asking if he could get a Citroen day with.
Curborough is a great track and a good place to get a task of track activity. We are running a Welcome to Track day on September 9th.
On a week day you hire the track as a test day and there are no facilities provided, you even have to pick the key up from the club secretary’s house some miles away. He also can be very selective as to who he hires the track to.
Give me a shout if you want to know more.
